It is not a cardiac screening, an ECG or a physical examination, and the doctor will decline rather than guess if your case clearly needs one. Clubs set their own requirements — contact sport and some competitive leagues ask for considerably more than a general note — so send us the club or race organiser wording if you have been given any.
Swedish practice does not require a hands-on examination for every certificate, but it does require the issuing doctor to have a sufficient basis for what they put their name to.
