Payments & Refunds Policy

1. Scope and Applicability

This Payments & Refunds Policy governs all financial transactions, billing practices, and refund conditions related to services provided through GetMedicalCertificate.com ("the Platform"). By completing payment, the User acknowledges and agrees to all terms stated herein, as well as those contained in the Terms of Service and Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

2. Payment Processing

All payments are securely processed through Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. or its authorized affiliates. Transactions are denominated in Euro (€). Prices displayed on the Platform are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. Upon successful payment, the User receives an electronic confirmation at the registered email address. No physical invoices or receipts are issued unless required by law.

3. Nature of Service

Payments made on the Platform correspond to a digital teleconsultation service. Immediately upon order confirmation, the Platform allocates medical and administrative resources and forwards the case for professional review. The consultation process is considered initiated at the time of payment, and therefore no withdrawal or cancellation rights apply pursuant to Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU concerning digital services.

4. Non-Refundable Policy

All payments made on GetMedicalCertificate.com are final and non-refundable. Refunds or cancellations shall not be granted under any circumstance, including but not limited to:

• Non-issuance or rejection of a certificate by the consulting doctor.
• User error, incomplete or inaccurate information, or change of intent.
• Institutional or third-party non-acceptance of the certificate.
• Delay within defined operational hours.
• Duplicate purchases by the same User.

The issuance, duration, and content of any certificate remain at the sole discretion of the consulting health professional.

5. Refunds and Exceptions

Refunds will be processed only in the event of a verified technical glitch originating from the Platform's system, where no order was created or consultation initiated. Such cases must be reported within twenty-four (24) hours of payment by emailing care@getmedicalcertificate.com with proof of transaction. Once validated by the Platform's finance team, any approved refund will be initiated to the original payment method within seven (7) to ten (10) working days, depending on the payment gateway's processing timeline.

6. Minor Change Protection

Where purchased, the Minor Change Protection plan (€44.99) allows a one-time correction limited to factual details such as name, age, gender, or address, provided the request is made within two (2) hours of issuance. No modification to diagnosis, duration, or medical content is permissible. This entitlement lapses once the permitted correction has been utilized.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without prior written notification to care@getmedicalcertificate.com constitutes a material breach of this Policy and the Terms of Service. By completing payment, the User explicitly waives the right to initiate any chargeback on grounds of non-issuance, dissatisfaction, or doctor discretion. In case of any dispute, the Platform will furnish the payment processor (Stripe) with a copy of the user-accepted Terms and Refund Policy, confirming that the User consented to a non-refundable digital service. The Platform further reserves the right to suspend access, recover administrative costs, and pursue legal remedies in cases of unjustified chargebacks or fraudulent claims.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All transactions and contractual obligations arising from the use of this Platform shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute, claim, or proceeding shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Cuttack, Odisha (India).
