Work in offshore petroleum activity in Norway requires a helseerklæring issued under the regulation on health examination of workers in petroleum activities, and that certificate can only come from a doctor approved as a petroleumslege by Helsedirektoratet, following an in-person examination. Escalate it past the supervisor to HR or the onshore absence contact, because a supervisor's view on documentation is usually not the company's written policy. Also check whether an extended egenmelding arrangement applies to you, since that can change whether a certificate was needed at all for those days.
