Palma is the capital of the Balearic Islands and the main city on Mallorca, and its economy is dominated by tourism to a degree few other Spanish cities match — hospitality, aviation and the wider travel trade employ a very large share of the local workforce, much of it on a strongly seasonal basis. Documentation practices reflect that: many seasonal roles run on the statutory minimum, with the peak summer months putting real pressure on getting a same-day in-person appointment.

That seasonal, travel-heavy economy also makes fit-to-fly documentation an especially common request in Palma, alongside the more usual work and study certificates. Because Mallorca is an island, travelling to be seen in person can itself be more of an obstacle than on the mainland — which is exactly the kind of situation an online assessment is built for.

   Your answers are reviewed against Spanish requirements during business hours, Monday-Friday. The doctor may come back to you for more information before deciding, and will only proceed with a certificate if it is clinically appropriate to do so.

   Once approved, your certificate is emailed the same day for most requests, showing the reviewing doctor's credentials and a verification reference that lets the recipient confirm the document is genuine.

€40-70 is a typical range reported for a private, in-person doctor consultation in Spain and varies by clinic, location, and consultation type. It doesn't include the time cost of travelling to and from an appointment, or the wait for a slot to become available, both of which our online review is designed to remove without cutting corners on the actual clinical assessment.

Important: what we can and cannot issue in Spain: We cannot issue the formal parte de baja for absences of more than 3 days, because Spanish law reserves that document to doctors within the public Seguridad Social system or an authorised equivalent. What we do provide is a general medical certificate (a separate, valid document used for insurance, visa, legal, education, and similar purposes) and a sick leave certificate suited to shorter absences that can generally be self-managed. If your situation requires the formal parte de baja for statutory sick pay beyond 3 days, that has to come from the public system.

A clinician will only issue a certificate after genuinely assessing your case and if it is clinically appropriate to do so. If it isn't, you receive a full refund rather than a certificate you can't rely on. We do not name individual clinicians on this page because the specific doctor assigned to review your case depends on availability and certificate type at the time you submit your assessment; your certificate itself shows the reviewing doctor's name and credentials once issued, so the recipient can see exactly who assessed your case. No certificate is generated automatically or without a doctor's genuine review, whatever the certificate type.
