Yes. You can get a medical certificate for Dnipro online today, assessed by a registered doctor and issued as a same-day PDF for a flat €34.99 whichever of the six types you need. It works as supporting documentation for employers, universities, travel, sport and insurance, and it is not the electronic лікарняний, which only a Ukraine-licensed doctor can create inside the eHealth system.

Medical Certificates in Dnipro: Who Needs Them?

Dnipro is the administrative centre of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and one of Ukraine's oldest centres of higher technical and medical education. Dnipro State Medical University was founded on 15 September 1916, developing out of the Ekaterynoslav Higher Female Courses, which makes it older than the city's general university. Oles Honchar Dnipro National University followed in 1918 as Ekaterynoslav University, opening with four faculties — history and linguistics, law, medicine, and physics and mathematics — becoming Dnipropetrovsk State University in 1933, gaining national status in 2000 and taking its present name in 2018.

The city's working identity has been built around metallurgy and heavy engineering for well over a century, alongside a research and design sector with long-standing links into the universities, and the retail, logistics and municipal employment of a large regional capital. That industrial base shapes the paperwork. Production and shift-based work is the setting where internal absence reporting is tightest, because an uncovered shift is a real operational problem rather than an inbox one, and where a manager typically wants documentation on a defined timescale rather than whenever it arrives.

Ukraine handles statutory sick leave in a single electronic chain, and it is worth understanding where we sit relative to it. A doctor creates a medical conclusion on temporary incapacity for work in the eHealth system, ЕСОЗ. That conclusion generates an electronic sick-leave record in the Pension Fund of Ukraine's register. Payment then follows, with the employer covering the first five calendar days of incapacity and the Pension Fund financing the payment from the sixth day. Our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council in the UK, hold no account in ЕСОЗ, and therefore cannot create, submit, close or transmit that record, nor cause any statutory payment to start.

The certificate we do issue is a written record of a registered doctor's assessment, carrying a verification reference so the recipient can confirm where it came from. For a great many requests that is exactly the document being asked for: an employer wanting evidence behind a short absence under its own policy, a faculty deciding a deferral, an airline applying a fit-to-fly rule, a gym or amateur competition requiring a fitness declaration, an insurer or visa process asking for a medical statement. None of those sit inside the social-insurance system, and none of them need a лікарняний.

The reason people in Dnipro use an online assessment is access rather than anything more complicated. Same-day family-doctor appointments are allocated by clinical need, and documenting a short self-limiting illness sits near the bottom of that queue quite correctly. On top of that, many people with a Dnipro employment contract or a Dnipro registered address are currently living and working elsewhere, so the clinic attached to that registration is not somewhere they can attend. Where the barrier is access, this is a reasonable route. Where you need examining, you need to be seen, and the doctor should tell you so rather than issue a document.

Metallurgy and Heavy Engineering

A long industrial base means shift patterns with strict internal absence reporting and short documentation deadlines.

Flat €34.99, Same-Day Decision

Every one of the six certificate types costs the same, and approved cases are issued the same day they are reviewed.

Contract Here, Working Elsewhere

A Dnipro registration does not mean a reachable clinic, which is the practical case for a remote assessment.

All Certificate Types Available in Ukraine

Every certificate type is reviewed by a doctor registered to assess cases in Ukraine. Choose the one that matches your situation. Most requests fall into one of these categories, and if you're not sure which applies, our assessment will ask enough questions to route you to the right one before you pay anything. If your situation genuinely spans more than one category, for example a sports injury that also keeps you off work, mention both during your assessment so the doctor can advise on the certificate that best fits, rather than guessing and paying for the wrong one.

How It Works in Dnipro

  1. Complete assessment

3-5 minutes. Select your certificate type, confirm Ukraine as your country, and answer relevant health questions covering your condition, the dates you need covered, and any employer or institution details you'd like included. No payment yet: you're only charged if a certificate is issued.

  2. Doctor reviews your case

Reviewed by a doctor registered to assess cases in Ukraine, generally during business hours (9am-6pm CET/CEST, Monday-Friday). The doctor may request more information through the same portal, or in rare cases advise that your situation needs an in-person examination rather than an online certificate.

  3. Receive your PDF

Emailed the same day your certificate is approved, with a verification reference that your employer or the requesting institution can use to help confirm authenticity directly.

Who Accepts a Medical Certificate in Dnipro

Where in Dnipro a written record of a doctor's assessment is the thing being requested, rather than a statutory sick-leave record.

Oles Honchar Dnipro National University

Founded in 1918 and running its own procedures for deferred examinations and missed coursework. The faculty sets the deadline and the submission route.

Dnipro State Medical University

Founded in 1916. Clinical placements carry attendance requirements, so a missed rotation is documented to the department and rescheduled.

Industrial and Production Employers

Shift-based workplaces usually require notification through a named internal route within a set time, plus documentation supporting the absence.

Retail, Logistics and Services Employers

Internal absence policies here also commonly ask for evidence behind a short absence, separately from anything in the state register.

Airlines and Travel Insurers

Fit-to-fly conditions and cancellation claims require a dated medical statement, with the window set by the carrier or the policy.

Sports Clubs and Fitness Providers

Fitness declarations before joining or competing are private requirements set by the organiser and have no connection to sick pay.

Typical private consultation costs are a general range and vary by clinic and location within Ukraine.

The gap between our pricing and a typical private consultation generally reflects the difference between an in-person clinic visit, with its overhead of a physical location, receptionist time, and travel, and an online assessment built specifically around producing a same-day certificate. You are paying for the doctor's review and the certificate itself, not a waiting room, and the price is the same across all certificate types you might need. Pricing is shown in euros throughout, and no additional fee is added for delivery, certificate verification, or the doctor's review. The price you see is the price you pay if a certificate is issued.

Our Ukraine Medical Team

Every certificate for Ukraine is reviewed by a doctor registered to assess cases in Ukraine, based on the information you provide about your condition and situation. A clinician will only issue a certificate after a genuine assessment. We do not operate on a pay-first, questions-later basis, and no certificate is guaranteed simply because a request was submitted. If a certificate is not clinically appropriate, for example because your case would benefit from an in-person examination or further investigation, the doctor will decline to issue one and you receive a full, automatic refund.

Registration details for the reviewing doctor can be provided on request, and we encourage you to reach out if you'd like to confirm credentials before relying on a certificate for something important. If you ever have a concern about the assessment you received, our complaints process is there for exactly that. We would always prefer to resolve a concern directly, and treat every case on its own facts rather than applying a blanket response. This process sits alongside, not instead of, any right you may have to raise a concern with the relevant professional body in Ukraine.

We don't rotate doctors between certificate types based on price. The same standard of genuine clinical assessment applies whether you're requesting a sick leave certificate or a sports fitness certificate. If a doctor has questions about your case, they'll ask through the same portal you submitted your assessment through, and you won't be charged until a certificate is actually issued.

Registered practitioners, not a call centre.

Every doctor is independently verified against their national medical council before they see a single patient - including for patients in Dnipro.

Frequently Asked Questions

Approved cases are issued the same day they are reviewed, usually within about half an hour of the doctor's decision, so a shift the following day is normally achievable if you apply with time to answer a follow-up question. What does not work well is applying an hour before the shift starts, because if the doctor needs more detail there is no room left. Notify your employer through your workplace's own route as well; the certificate does not replace the notification.

No. Statutory payment in Ukraine flows from the electronic sick-leave record in the Pension Fund register, which is generated when a doctor creates a medical conclusion inside ЕСОЗ — the employer covering the first five calendar days and the Pension Fund from the sixth. We cannot create that record, so nothing we issue starts, extends or affects those payments. Our certificate documents an assessment; the payment chain is a separate matter entirely.

No, it is the same €34.99 as the other five types. General Medical is the broadest of them, which makes it the one where saying what the document is actually for matters most. Tell the doctor which institution has asked and what they want confirmed, otherwise the statement risks being general in a way that does not answer the request.

Often yes, since a single certificate documenting the same period can be forwarded to more than one recipient — it is issued to you, and you decide who receives it. The caveat is that the two may want different things confirmed, and a faculty deferral sometimes requires the document to cover an exact examination date. Check both requirements before you submit so that one assessment can satisfy both.

Describe what the work physically involves rather than the job title, because that is what the fitness judgement turns on. Standing for a full shift, lifting, working at height, operating machinery, driving, working in heat or noise — those details change the answer. A title tells the doctor almost nothing, whereas the duties tell them whether the condition you describe actually prevents the work.

No. You need to be able to describe your case, answer the doctor's questions and receive email. There is no requirement to be registered with a Ukrainian clinic, to hold a particular document, or to be in Ukraine at the time. Registration matters for the statutory system, not for an assessment of what you describe.

Only as far as the assessment reasonably supports, and that is the doctor's judgement rather than a setting you choose. A short gap between symptoms starting and applying is normal and usually assessable. A request to cover weeks the doctor has no basis to judge will be declined, because a document that claims more than the assessment supports is worthless to whoever has to rely on it.

A Ukrainian family doctor working inside ЕСОЗ can create the medical conclusion that generates the statutory electronic sick-leave record, and can examine you. We can do neither. What we provide is a same-day assessment on the information you give, with a verifiable written certificate at the end, for the many requests that are not asking for the statutory record. The two are complements, not substitutes.

Refund handling is set out in the terms you accept at checkout, so read those before ordering rather than relying on a summary here. What is worth saying is that a decline is not a malfunction: you are paying for a doctor's assessment, and an assessment that concludes a certificate is not appropriate has still been carried out. A service that issued to everyone would not be assessing anyone.

Certificates are issued in English in our own format, and we do not complete third-party forms or provide certified translations. If the institution has a mandatory form of its own, or requires a Ukrainian-language document, our certificate may not satisfy it and you should check before paying. Where an institution simply wants a doctor's written statement, the standard document is designed for that.
