General Medical at EUR 34.99 is the general-purpose option for administrative uses of this kind, and what insurers usually care about is that a genuine medical assessment took place and who made it. But read the policy wording before you buy: many insurers issue their own claim form, and some require it completed by a clinician who actually treated you, sometimes with supporting records. If yours does, our certificate is supporting documentation rather than the thing they have asked for.
The format alone is not usually the sticking point — insurers are used to remote consultations and their real test is whether an assessment took place, by whom, and whether it supports the dates you are claiming for. What does get claims queried is thin history: an assessment that cannot speak to when symptoms started, or to a pre-existing condition the insurer already knows about. If your claim depends on either, expect them to want records or a treating clinician's input as well.
Whatever their own policy names, which during festival season is often not written down at all. Get the requirement in writing before spending money, because short-engagement employers in the city run anything from a formal HR process to a text to a duty manager. Sick pay entitlement is a separate question from evidence and depends on your employment status and earnings rather than on how long the contract is, so check the current rules on GOV.UK or ask the employer directly rather than assuming a short contract means nothing applies.
